Ahead of an unconfirmed Intel launch early next week, we’ve now seen a Raptor Lake-R CPU break cover in the first Intel 14th gen prebuilt gaming PC seen online. The system in question has been spotted and listed on Newegg, in an apparent leak, which would also suggest an incoming slew of new CPUs to get ready for.
With any new CPU launch, pre-built gaming PCs are a factor – allowing users who want to avoid building their own system to get a fully functioning desktop delivered to them. But we didn’t expect to see a prebuilt ahead of any official launch. The system, as spotted by WePC, is called the CLX RA Gaming Desktop, and it appears to have leaked the Core i9 14900K processor.
Here’s a list of the components as featured in the build:
- Processor: Intel Core i9 14900K 3.20GHz (6.0GHz Max. Turbo)
- Memory: 128GB DDR5 – 4 x 32GB (4 slots total, 128GB Max)
- Hard Drives: 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD, 6TB HDD
- Video Graphics: GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB GDDR6X
- Power Supply: 1000 Watt Power Supply
As you can see, the system includes the rumored Core i9 14900K, offering a max 6GHz boost clock, which is 0.2GHz more than that of Intel’s Core i9 13900k – hinting at the performance boost the new CPUs could see across the range. The listing also shows the 14900K with a 24-core and 32-thread configuration, the same as the 13900K.
The motherboard isn’t specified, but the CPU is paired with 4x 32GB DDR5 for a total of 128GB RAM, GeForce RTX 4090, in a full-tower spec case with a 1,000 Watt PSU, a 2TB SSD, and 6TB HDD. Honestly, this would be the sort of system we’d expect a new flagship processor to sit in.
As for price, we don’t know or sure. At the time of writing the leaked system was marked as out of stock, but we’d expect a rig like this to be in the ballpark of $3,500. No doubt we’ll know and see more systems arriving after Intel’s 14th gen’s rumored launch, expected next week. We’ll also be updating with the latest prebuilds we see, as they arrive.
When will Intel 14th Gen prebuilt Gaming PCs arrive?
It’s not official but we predict a launch of Intel 14th gen on October 17th. So, as with any new CPU range launching, you can perhaps expect to see more Intel 14th gen prebuilt gaming PCs arrive when things are official. Keep an eye on PCG for the latest, as we look to give you the best and latest info available.
